Maybe they DID buy a gift... but they paid seperate and the cashier scanned the registry tag for the wrong purchase? Some people aren't the brightest.

LOL no, but I was hoping maybe they walked in, exasperated from the heat and bought a bottle of water to drink while they walked the store and picked something out.

Maybe they did but then bought something not on your registry? Then again if it is not on your registry it still comes up so who knows
