I survived!

Well I survived the marriage seminar today, and I have to say, it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be at all! In fact, it was almost enjoyable. It definitely helps that the priest is younger, married (orthodox it's allowed), and open minded, so he can relate to us and didn't judge anyone.

When a priest tells you not to have sex before the wedding, including the Clinton definition, and it's ok to wear masks in bed, you know you're not at your usual pre cana

Needless to say poor FH nearly blew a gasket, and I just laughed, and laughed, and laughed.

But all in all it was pretty nice, and I think it almost would benefit us if there were more, but it's a one shot deal.

What I didn't like? The exorbitant church stewardship/fees! After all is said and done, 850...whoa.

AND...afterwards we went to Good Old Gold to look for bands, and I found one I actually like, a LOT. Unfortunately the saleswoman must have wrote down the wrong item number, because I can't find a picture to post, but it's channel set pronged diamonds that go only across the top of the ring, with the antique beading on each ridge. It's really pretty...def more money than we wanted to spend, so we'll see. It's between that and a plain white gold band...just need to think about it some more.

All in all, productive day!

And i'm glad you found something at Good Old Gold that you liked, I'm still waiting for my band to arrive, it's been two weeks, I'm so impatient

ETA: I also wanted to add, if you can splurge a little on the wedding bands, I woud def. suggest it. Me and FH cut a few extras we wanted to do bc the most important things that we did not want to be frugal on were the honeymoon and wedding bands. Of course we didn't go completely overboard, we just got what we wanted....and spent a little less on a few vendors so we were able to add that savings to the ring budget.

Glad it went well.

FH got my e-ring at Good Old Gold and we went there to look at wedding bands too. FH picked one he likes a lot but they are getting the one that goes with my e-ring in so I could seeit.

Masks in bed????? My DH and I have never tried that!!!!! Hmmm........
