went to er last nite from work - they had to lance it - his toe is size of golf ball and whole foot is swollen. Its still draining i feel so bad for him. I hope it heals well soon and that he can enjoy our wedding on Sunday. i don't even know what spider bites symptoms are !!! the doc in ER didn't know either - i'm not thrilled about that at all!

i got bit from one and my finger swelled up once...not as bad as your FH's tho...they put me on anitbiotics...within 2-3 days it was fine...dont worry!

Yikes! Ans what the heck ER doc? I hate that when docs just guess at what is wrong with you. Anyway, I hope he feels better quick! But I'm sure the wedding will take his mind right off his foot!

thanks. i'm going to make him follow up with his regular doctor - the ER doc did not even give him an antibiotic or topical thing??? seriously not exaggerating - its HUGE ( and i saw it after it was already lanced/cut)

If you are sure this is a bug/spider bit, you can take benadril or antihistamine.
I am allergic to spiders too.

thanks. he's going to his primary doctor today. its still swollen and hurting. He's been taking benadryl but i don't trust the ER doc. it seems strange they didn't give him any topical or oral antibiotic. we don't know for certain what bit him - never a dull moment with 3 days to go AND FMIL's dress never came in - Adriennes in Islip told is a disaster - she ordered it in March and they kept putting her off etc... said it would def be here by July 26 - they never called, they finally told her YESTERDAY it won't be in until next week - duh we're getting married SUNDAY! she found another one elsewhere.
