I think FH wants to give me a heart attack

For someone who isn't fashion conscious at all he is really surprising me with this wedding.
First he won't wear a brown tux. He says he doesn't want to look back at our wedding pics and have them be dated. He thinks the brown tux is going to go the way of like the powder blue tuxes from the 70's.
Then we're having this argument about tie vs bow-tie.
And now (just wait till you read this):
He''s mentioned before he wanted to wear a cape (yes like batman) at the wedding. I thought he was kidding because he also mentioned a top hat and monical. But he is totally serious. He wants to show me pics of them! He thinks it will be cool to stand on the beach with a cape flapping behind him.
I told him if I turn the corner to walk down the aisle and he is wearing a cape, I am turning right around.
I seriously don't know where he gets these ideas.

good point!! my guys are doing brown tuxes. they look GORGEOUS in pictures!!!

OMG!

I don't know where men pick these ideas up. I'm with you about no cape but I'm with him about the brown tuxes. If you're going brown on the guys, I'd get suits and cool ties and not do a vest.

I know right!!!
I guess he wants to wear one made out of wool, sort of like they used to wear in the old days...not a costume one. He is trying to get me to agree to at least let him wear one for a few pictures.

OMG!! a cape!! seriously. . maybe you can compromise and let him take a photo or two after with the cape
yeah my FH gets some crazy ideas today.. I'm always like. . 'You could make that choice - IF you want to marry someone else!!'

I made my MOH a cape as a joke (yes i said cape ) and she going to wear it to the RD and for her entrance at RH maybe for a few pics, but thats about it

Almost peed my pants

I had a similar issue with my DH. He wanted to wear his favorite tie with his tux. This is a tie I've seen him in half a dozen times already. You would think he would want something fresh and new for his own wedding. But nope! He purchased a tuxedo bowtie but showed up for pictures before the ceremony in his old tie.

tell him if he is worried about being dated, then the cape idea is not the way to go!

show him a picture of the monopoly guy and say..this is what u want to look like on our wedding??

but i feel your pain fh wants to walk out to hulk hogans theme music

OMG! haha! literally lol at the cape idea flapping in the wind. lol. Ok, I think it's awesome that your FH is deciding what he wants and doesn't want for your wedding. He's putting thought into it and that's great. Just talk it out together, what you want what you don't want, what your priorities are money wise, is the cape a must have? bc it might be expensive for a really nice one and out of the budget...if you know what I mean....lol It is different though!
