I think I blocked Red Roof but not sure

Ok so I called a bunch of hotels last week and Red Roof Inn was the cheapest.....They gave me a rate of $149...
Fh found them online for even less on a website.....$125
So I told FH to call and talk them down to this price and this way we could get something else off our list, while making it a little easier on out OOT guests.....

So last night FH called and spoke with the same guy I talked too(I really don't think this guy knew what he was doing)....

So we got the price at 130.99, fine....But then I got on the phone and he never took our phone number down, when I asked him for the cards with the rates and directions to put in hte invitations he didn't know what I was talking about.
And I asked if he was sending my a contract or something
and he said no.

He then told me he didn't normally do this and another department does so I asked to speak with them. But he wouldn't put me though to anyone and was like yelling at I think other workers while on the phone with me....

SO ANYWAY.....I don't trust him and don't know if I should call someone else in hte same hotel or call a different hotel all together.....

WHAT A PAIN!!!!

it sounds like this guy has no idea what he is doing and he sounds unprofessional. if it were me, i'd look for another hotel all together. when i blocked rooms, i talked to the same guy each time and in the end we signed an agreement. i would never trust somebody who doesn't give a contract.

i'm sorry you got such a schmuck on the phone...i'm sure it's frustrating!

Very!!! I have another called into a different hotel n we'll see what happens.....

You prob have to call back during 'regular' business hours and take to a manager. I booked blocks at 2 hotels and have contracts for both. Also, at both hotels I had to talk to a special events coordinator/manager to get the rate locked in for the rooms. And they both sent us directions, etc for our invitations. I'd call back if I were you.

call back and talk to the sales manager.....the ones we spoke with were very helpful. We checked out 4 hotels before blocking the one we did....

Yea I know the other two hotels I spoke with were at least event managers, but this guy wouldn't let me talk to anyone else.....very weird!!!!
