I think I broke FH down...

and I think he's going to 'let' us get the couch and ottoman I want for our as of yet unrented apartment!!!






He said that they're 'pieces of crap' and why would I want them even though they're 'made like shiz' but when I said they made me feel warm and like our place would feel cozy and have personality, he seemed to relent, with the stipulation that when we eventually get a house and if we have a formal living room that we would get a nicer set and keep this for den/basement.

I'll take what I can get lol, but I sure hope that he doesn't change his mind on this.

nice couch....I would be wary about the beige microfiber....it would get dirty fast. Macys and R&F have many couches like this in diff colors too...my sis in law just got a really nice couch from Raymour...not a piece of crap either.

Check out macys during a sale, they have some really nice things, we got our couch on sale at Macys and it came with an ottoman too!

It's so warm and friendly!

My DH is the same way about furniture now -- he wants us to have really good pieces rather than the junk we've been buying in our post-college years. It's hard to compromise on that stuff because it's so expensive to buy real 'quality' and I'm not really ready to get married to our furniture.

I agree I got all my furniture from Raymour for good prices and they are great quality.

FH and I have been furniture shopping and can't agree on ANYTHING! It's very frustrating.

If you get the light colored microfiber though - get it scotch-guarded. It gets dirty very easily.

I like your choice but microfiber is a pain in the @ss to keep clean. It also stains...if you get the light colored microfiber be prepared to clean it frequently. We decided to go with all leather B/C I was so tired of cleaning the old couch. Scotch guard is great but it can change the color of the fabric.
Raymour and Flanigan have a protection plan that you can buy that includes cleaning.

They're from Raymour and Flanigan...they actually remind me of your wedding colors a lot!
