I think i found the dress! got the picture to work!

Hi Girls,

So after last weeks upsetting dress shopping day i tried again and went to David's Bridal to try on the new White by Vera Wang dresses. Let me just say the photos on their website really don't do these dresses justice! They are even more gorgeous in person!

I didn't cry when i saw myself in it (i never expected to though) but this is the only dress that i tried on that i could really truly see wearing to my wedding. i didn't want to take it off! It just felt right. I didn't buy it today though. I just didnt want to make a snap decision. The 12 (the biggest size for that dress) was still a big snug.. Id really like to loose enough weight to fit comfortably in a 10... Do you think its a bad idea to wait until i loose some weight to order it?

Anyways this is me in the dress. I would order it in Ivory (the ivory samples thy had only went to 10...bah) and I'm still unsure about the belt) but i really truly love love love this dress. ah!

I'm so happy to hear this dress shopping trip went much better for you. I think you have a little bit of time that if you want to wait until you drop a few pounds you should be fine. I would ask DB how long they expect it to take to get this dress in. So you know how far in advance you should be ordering (at minimum). I wouldn't be too worried about them discontinuing the dress, since like you said it is from the new line.
Either way, it was wonderful that you think this is the one. Congrats!!

I didn't cry either but I knew mine was the dress!

I wanted to order a size down but the saleswoman like freaked and convinced my mom it was a bad idea.

I think its a great idea to work on yourself first, see where you are and then order. Since those dresses just came out they won't be discontinued soon, and like Christine said, ask them how long it takes to get that one in.

I'm happy you found something you like!

Thank you girls! I have to call davids bridal and see how long i cant wait to order. The sales women wouldn't answer my question she just kept saying that the dresses are going very quickly. I have to say everything people say about davids bridal is true. They really rush you through everything. But I really love this dress to much to care!

Wow the dress looks great on you!!!! with the bow maybe go a little smaller!

Thank you! I couldn't really breath in it.. and you cant see in the picture but i had some serious back fat thing going on in the back of the dress. but I'm for sure in love with this dress

ah I got mine at david's too...and it's annoying that you have to take home your dress and keep it in the closet until alteration time. i'm wondering where else i can get alterations done besides them.

I'd just make sure you ask that it's part of the season collection or something, my dress was a style preview...meaning if it sold well, the line would sell in stores, if not they wouldn't carry it. so i decided i couldn't risk losing out.
