I think I have an abcess on my gum!!!!

I think I have an abcess on my gum!!!!

How would I know? Has anyone every had one? I'm not in a terrible amount of pain but it's annoying and it's a little swollen and red

does it ook like a bubble, and kinda like a pimple?? if it does get to the dentist ASAP to get some antibiotics and then have him do an exam, when i got them, it meant i needed a root canal...sorry to say but HTH

It does sort of look like that. I am going FIRST thing in the AM. Figures this happens the day I'm going to mail my invites. Hopefully he can take care of it ASAP and I can still mail them out tomorrow!

It doesn't really hurt but it's swollen and red

most likely antibiotics and then go from there
you dont want them drilling or anything if there is an infection in there..trust me

Do you have a bad taste in your mouth? Or extremely bad breath. That's what happened to my dad when he had one.

Get to the dentist ASAP, if it's infected, it could get into your blood and cause a SERIOUS infection.

If it is -you will be put on meds for a week and then go back and see what caused it. good luck

ive had the same thing! go to the dentist today if you can before it pops.... they'll want to see it in it's full glory!!

my dentist says that's a sign of a dead nerve in the tooth. when the nerve dies the gums start to leak out all the dead stuff.

i had this too and then it went away. but go to your dentist to make sure!!!
