I think I might have some good news for once!

FH and I were talking about wedding stuff, as I am prone to hounding him these days so I can just have a date at least, and we were discussing the last place that I went to look. He told me that he was then thinking that he was up in the air between that one and the very first place we went to look at. Needless to say, I was shocked, because we were quoted $65 pp at the first place and since our budget is so tight, he said it was out of the question. The place I went to on Sat. quoted me $60 pp. When we went over all the differences between the two, we found that all the things that we could get for $65 pp was worth far more than $5 pp, and he said that we should book there! Of course I had to make sure that he was serious and that he understood that it would definitely blow our budget and that he wasn't going to want to look at anymore places, but I think he finally got to a place where he was ready to deal with this on a realistic level and get it done. I'm still shooting for as close to our original budget as possible, but won't have to stress as much if I go over.

So I called this morning (at five after 9 because I'm impatient) and made an appt. to meet with someone on Wed. night to book the place that I've been wanting all along! My quote that I got is over 30 days old, so I'm hoping they'll still honor it (the guy I spoke with on the phone said they would, but he didn't actually have the quote in front of him; however, I have no problem throwing a calculated fit in order to get my way ). I'm finally excited about all of this instead of stressed. Granted, I have no clue what will happen when I get there, but I have a really good feeling about this! Thanks for everyone who let me b*tch and moan...hopefully that'll be over, at least as far as this issue is concerned!

ETA: I wasn't worried about you taking my site! LOL They're holding the date for me until Wed.

I'm a little giddy, so I'm going to have to stop smiling and go research what details I must have in my contract.
