I THINK I NEED TO RETRACT MY A+++++++ RATING FOR THE SWAN CLUB!

Im talking to my mom and she tells me that my aunt (who is in a wheelchair) was freaking out because there was no way for her to get down to the food during the Cocktail hour. Then she tells me Mrs P. (Family friend lived next door to my mom growing up) who is about 90 + and walks with a walker arrived at the wedding and the Valets didn't say anything to her about a ramp then she fell down the steps. The greeters that where standing their didn't even say anything! Then leaving again she fell up the steps and my uncle had to pick her up and carry her. Im outraged seriously!!!!! I can not get over this. The woman didn't say anything until the next day when we had brunch at our house and my mom said she was going to call the swan club and complain the woman was like i wasnt hurt don't worry!

THEN mom says to me remember when we went to do the menu with barbara. I was like yeah and we asked for dramboie (SP) so uncle frank and uncle ray could have their rust nails I said yeah she said well uncle frank and uncle ray both asked for Rusty Nails and where told no. The bartende called over the matre d who took the contract out of his pocket and showed uncle frank it wasnt listed.
I can't believe he showed one of our guest our contract!!!!! It wasnt listed cause we asked barbra if they had and they told us yes. We paid to have jagermister and becks beer. We would have paid for the drambouie! My mom said had she'd know about this she wouldnt have given him his tip.

That is not right at all. I have been there for a few weddings and I know where you are talking about. You dont think of it at the time, but you want to know if they have handicapped accesibility and if they dont then someone should be there to help them. That is invasion of privacy about the whole contract thing. I owould definitely bring that up to your banquet manager or the maitred

whoever showed your guests YOUR contract is extremly unprofessional and you need to address it with whomever at the swan club is over him. there is also somebody higher. that is riduclous that people with wheelchairs/walkers could not be accomedated. definelty call and speak your mind. sorry that you had to go through that.

When we booked we were told that it was handicap accesable. They do have a ramp. They didn't think to tell the 90 year old lady with a walker!

I called my hall to complain when I found out that a bathroom attendant told my cousin that she was supposed to tip...

My brother got married there, they had to call ahead of time to make sure they would provide ramps for my uncle who's in a wheelchair. The Swan Clud is sooo lucky nobody was hurt! Future brides who need wheelchair accessibilty, make sure you ask. I would have also assumed they would take care of this!

What did they SAY?

My mom overheard my cousin use a small spritz of hairspray. My cousin started to walk out and my mom overheard the bathroom attendant say, 'if you use the hairspray, you're supposed to tip me.'

My cousin was embarrassed and said that she left her handbag on the dinner table but would come back and give her the tip...

My mom didn't say anything to me until I returned from my honeymoon. She said that the only negative about my hall was that guests had to tip the attendants...

I was like, 'WHAT DO YOU MEAN??? WE paid for all of the gratuities...there's even a sign up in the lobby which states that gratuities have been provided by the host.'

And, my DH also had a coworker comment that the attendant in the men's room also had a tip basket out...

We never saw these things because we had a bathroom in our bridal suite. Actually, my cousin should have used the bathroom in the suite because she was in the bridal party, but she didnt' realize.

So, I called my hall and they said that they would find out who was working that night and take care of it...

My cousin has never mentioned it to me....but, I think that the next time I say her, I may let her know that the bathroom attendant was wrong

They do have a ramp. its on the side of the building. But during our cocktail hour ad the room we where in the had an upper level and then a lower level. The lower level is where all the food was set up there was no way for the wheelchairs to get to the food the food had to be brought to them OR they could have carried them down,.

No, my bro was in the same room, they do have a ramp they attach to the 2 or 3 steps. That's what they used in the cocktail room and they also put the ramp in the reception room(I think they were in the Camelot), it also had 2 or 3 steps
