i want something very specific and none have been able to replicate it
I was told twice that my hair wont hold that style but no one has even tried it!
the styles that have been done have been great, I dont want anyone to think Im bad mouthing any of the hair people, they have been great!
what do i do next????
do I pull out the big guns and attempt to book a girl who is super expensive? (if shes even available)
do I just give up on this hairstyle I want all together and settle for the look that these hair people think is best for me, even tho I dont love it and its not how I picture myself on the day of?
do I wait for my hair to grow longer, put in extensions and get a trial then? I feel and have been told that with extensions the style will hold a lot better.
do I go for another trial with a less expensive person?'
do I go back to one of the girls I already went to(one offered me a cheaper 2nd trial price) and tell them to try my original look?
please help me girls, I want to cry and hair trials and the though of my hair on my wedding day makes me sick
i dont understand y they wont try it if your paying for it...tell them ur paying them to do what u want..

Re: I think I should get a Wig
Looking at what you want and what you've had trials with, I think you should definitely try to get that look especially if it's how you envision yourself on the day of! Have you shown them those pictures when you went for the trial? I would keep pushing to get what you want. Not sure why they can't replicate that look especially if you're paying for it.
Also, if you're doing your hair all down like that, I've been to salons where they've done hair pretty much like that as part of a blow out and it was wonderful. That could be another option.
I have a trial tomorrow - I will let you know how it goes. It definitely does suck spending all that money.
Are there any 2010 brides that have done similar hair - maybe you can see who they used?

Re: I think I should get a Wig
adelz I did look into 2010 brides who had similar
the ones I found used Nicole DAngio
she looks amazing!
but she is 250 for the day of
but i have seen trial pics where she replicated that look! the only stylist so far Ive seen who has done it
she has a 3 week waiting period for a response!!! it has been 3 weeks today, I called her today.
but 250!!!!!
and then 3 person minimum, so i have to force my girls to pay top dollar too

Re: I think I should get a Wig
First off, I'd get some human hair clip in extensions. That hair style is amazing, but even those women in those pictures have extensions.
How close are you to your normal stylist? Maybe she can point you in the right direction of who can help you with a hairstyle like that
You're going to look beautiful dress twin

Re: I think I should get a Wig
Ahhh, that's crazy amount! Let me see if maybe when I go for my trial tomorrow, I can have her start with a look like you're proposing to see how it works or ask her if she's done it before and maybe has pics to show you, and then go into other looks I want. I know you don't want to spend more on trials, but the lady I'm using is $150 including day of and trial. I know that's not much help but that's all I know for now :(
Have you tried just going to a local salon?

Re: I think I should get a Wig
I think you should go for the look you want. Maybe go to local salons to see if they offer bridal services. I find that most 'wedding hairstylists' will charge too much because it's their entire business but the salon people do this as extra cash.
Bring the pics with you, ask your friends about salons they go to, their family goes to so you can trust that salon.

why do they think your hair won't hold it??? is it the length or texture, etc?

Re: I think I should get a Wig
thanks ladies
I have extensions in already, semi permanent ones
I will be putting more but not until closer to the wedding when my hair is longer
My sister suggested clip ins, where do I get those?? I want it look real and natural, the ones I have now, no one can even tell! not even hair stylists!
I did try my hair stylist for a trial, she got the closest to it, but it didnt last more than 3 hours
here is the best pic I have of that trial
and adelina you are way too sweet! focus on you at your hair trial, not me!!! but def let me know how it goes!

Re: I think I should get a Wig
That looks awesome! Maybe the stylist you used yesterday can do that - since she was able to get your curls to hold the longest?
And you're welcome! I'll see if she has some examples she's done of similar help so atleast if you're interested in doing a trial it's an option!

Re: I think I should get a Wig
you can get some good clip on one at sallys.. i haven't used them but my brothers ex used to wear them and they looked natural... they were made with real hair (or soemthing similar) because she was able to dye them, curl them, and wash them... some clip on extensions don't allow you to do those things so be sure to ask

Re: I think I should get a Wig
There is a place in Central Islip called Popcorn. Its in a kinda sketchy.....but the hair is awesome! There are people to help you with color, texture, etc. Def. worth the trip
Do you have very fine hair? That's what I have and it never used to hold a curl. My salon cannot get it to hold a curl. The only time I'm ever able to get it to stay is by not washing my hair the day I want to curl it. I wash it the day before. Thus far, only my sister has been able to do my hair right for me! Okay, here's two pics. One if from my boudoir session and the other is from my birthday party- don't mind the outfit.
Okay, hold on for the b-pics one. I can't find a good one that shows the hair.

Re: I think I should get a Wig
Okay so my sister is a stylist, and for me I know my hair doesn't hold that well in that particular style. I don't get my they haven't done what you wanted though. My best advice to you is try getting extensions. Extensions hold very well and mixed with your hair it will help it stay while giving it thickness and length
