Hi girls. OK my engagement party is Sept. 10th. I went into Walgreens the other day and saw such nice cards for friends and family. I decided that I wanted to get a card for each BM and give it to them at my engagement party, just thanking them for excepting my offer to be in my BP and being a big part my wedding, just showing my excitement and appreciation that they are a part of my BP and how much they mean to me. So anyway I thought I would get a little gift to go with the card, nothing big, like a special 'favor' to them for coming to the party. So I got all the BMs a picture frame at Hallmark and the FGs and the JBM a jewerly box. I told my sister that I got everyone a little something and she was like, 'why, it's only your engagement party?' (She is 18 years old BTW). Do you think It's too much? I'm just a generous person in general too, but you think I shouldn't have got them gifts? I'm just curious to hear what you girls have to say.

Personally I think I would have done the same thing- I dont know if its that we are 'too generous' but to me - its these little things that lets them know how much you really do appreciate them being there and helping you out during your day!

I think its a really nice touch. After reading this post I wish that I had did something like this. But then again I love to give people gifts and things, I am always very generous!

I think it was a very nice thing to do for them. I think sometimes people forget what it costs to be in a BP and I am sure that they will be very happy that you thought of them

I gave my BM a gift to thank them! I got these really cute fitted tee's that said Bridesmaid, MOH, Mother of the Bride/Groom on them and then on the bottom corner was their name. They are really cute and only $25!

That is a cute idea! I spent like $10 on each BM. I have 8 BMs, 2 FGs and 1 JBM. So I couldn't spend too much on them, I gave myself a budget of $150 tops and even that was a little too much, luckily I was under.

I wanted to go to MAC and buy each girl the 'Bridesmaid' nail polish, but then I couldn't figure what to get my MOH or the groomsmen so I canned the gift idea, and i just planned on getting them really great BP gifts.

im an 06'er so i hope you dont mind me posting...i did the samething at my engagement party and everyone loved it. i think its a great idea. i guess it all depends on the couple to be and what they want to do.
