Hi girls...I just got engaged on Christmas Day (still on cloud nine ) and my first post was on the 08 board becuase we figured that we needed time and would most likely book a hall for the spring of that year. However we talked about it for 2 days straight and realized we really don't wanna wait that long and would much rather get married in the summer of 07 So Friday we're going to visit our first hall (Marina del Rey in the Bronx) and I'm sooo nervous lol I hope it goes well. I feel like I'm behind lol I know I only got engaged 3 days ago but I need to get moving...after I book the hall is it customary to get the church rite after and then worry about dj and photo/video? Sorry if it's a stupid question but I'm so new at this I need all the help I can get

No that sounds like a good plan. Don't worry you are not behind either, you have a year and a half left to book vendors, we just all booked early. BTW congrats!!!!

That's what I'm doing...so far, I have the hall, church and band and in January I'm going to work on photo and video. Don't worry you'll get it done - enjoy being engaged!

Hello and Welcome!
I booked my church right after my hall so that I knew both of those were done. If you don't mind what church you get married in, I guess there is not as much of a rush, but I knew I wanted to get married in my church (if it was available) so I got right on that. Then I worried about everything else.

I am just cheap and tried to book everything in 05 to get better prices... b/4 they go up...
Although I am wayyyyyyyyyy over my budget! And I still have so much more to get!
