I think im paying too much...

FOR MY DJ!!......

I mean im getting alot!!!!....i got all the uplighting...percussion,,saxaphone player..zap shooting..and it was priced for $5600....IS THAT ALOT???? Should i fight it???? i feel like i should argue it....im seeing all the pricing everyone else is getting and i feel like an arse paying that much..

anyone get quoted that high for for all that?

it sounds good im paying 3000, for uplighting, steel drops, zap shots, a lot of extra lighting and some other stutff..

You're using Body Rock? Hmm that seems pricey to me. I'm using them and getting the intelligent lighting, DJ/MC, and adding on the percussionist is only $2400 TOPS. I don't think uplighting and a sax player should double the price.

I think that sounds like a lot to me....however when i was shopping around one dj in particular (fusion dl) were around that much, and i really thought they were worth it. but what made me decide against them was for $5k I could get a band for a little more. I would try negotiating.

No matter how much I'm quoted I always try to get it cheaper..it won't hurt. I dont know how much that stuff is suppose to cost but I think you should still try to get a better deal from them. It's worth a try.

it does sound like a lot. Parties Alive biggest package included all of this and they were charging 3500-3700 before discounts

The intelligent lighting is what makes it feel like a club, it includes the gobo projection and everything. Uplighting is the lights that are around the room.

the uplighting is more expensive than intelligent lighting. it is an add on with most companies but you shouldn't be paying more than 1000 for just the uplighting anyway.

We're paying $5100 for uplighting, piano player for cocktail hour, saxophone player (for entire 5 hour reception), 2 plasma tvs with photo montage, zap shots, cd of all zap shots that same night, dj and mc.

i need to look at my contract again. I always look at what others are paying and i feel like im getting ripped off...but i know we got EVERYTHING...except for Frank Sinatra Singer..LOL

I don't think Uplighting should be more then a $1,000
