I think my kitty might be sick... UPDATED - he is fine!

I realized yesterday that it seems that he has a lump on his underside (right by his bladder/intestines would be). I never thought he has it before- he has been urinating regularly - maybe has been having a little constipation but he has been excreting fecal matter. He just doesnt seem as chipper anymore - I just called the vet - i am taking him at 12 - does anyone elses cat has a sac- like lump on his underside? It seems to be two one on each side but one side is a little more enlarged - ??
I'm so worried about him -

What you are describing could be anything really ... but since you are taking him to the vet , they'll put your mind at ease once they examine him. I'm sure its nothing too serious, maybe just an infection?

Hope everything turns out okay. This must be a bad time for cats. Mine got sick and the signs of aging have become very noticeable. And I have seen a few others posting about sick or old cats. Poor kitties

My dog has bumps called Lipomas. They are just fat deposits under the skin. I am not sure if cats get them too. Go to the vet and find out for sure. I hope your cat is OK

I know how you feel, DH's cat got sick a few weeks ago. We came home one day from being away the night and her head was tilted, her eye pupils were small and she was limping and bumping all over the place. DH was calling her and it's like she couldn't even see him. We took her to the vet and put her on medication her head, walk, and eyes are better but the Dr. said that she too has a lump and right now we can't tell what it is. It could be a tumor. She wants us to do an ultra sound and possibly operate but DH is not crazy about that idea, not because he doesn't love her because that cat is like a little sister to him but she is very old. He's had her before we met for 9 years and when she was given to her she was already old. So DH is like surgery could do more harm to her. She is old and when her time comes to leave this world she will leave in peace, not by surgery. He wants her to live out whatever she's got left in peace and it could be another couple of years for all we know.

So hang in there sweetie and we hope all goes well with your kitty. How old is he?

Thanks for the well wishes - Kiti is FINE!!! The lumps were lipomas - just fat - the little guy is no longer a little guy - he has gained 3 pounds!! He now weights 12lbs - i have to lessen the amount of dry food i give him. THe doctor said that wet food is lower in calories - but Kiti wont touch it - (i spoiled him when i took him in my giving him tuna and fresh barbecued fish (it was the summer so we had lots of fish because my brother and dad go fishing every weekend) - needless to say - when i tried giving him wet food he woudlnt take it - i mixed in some tuna so he could at least try to eat some - and he picked out the tuna - so dry food it is!

Thanks again girls - he is like my little baby - he sleeps with me every night - i dont know what i would have done if he was sick.

Awww .. SO glad that your little boy is OK! I know what you mean, I am super - attached to my kitty and we worry about them like they are children! SO glad it turned out good and that he only needs to go on a diet!! LOL!

Same thing with my Mia .. she ONLY eats the dry food. She's 10 months and getting chubby herself ... I expect the vet will want to put her on a diet also!
