I think my registry is done!

Woo Hoo!!! My shower is next Sat. and I must admit I have been peeking

Jenny 11-9: I registered at about 18 weeks. BUT you should do lots of research prior to stepping inside the store. I looked on babiesrus.com and babycenter.com and read all the 'parent' reviews, then made my list and went to the store alone before i was going to register. I looked at the items and narrowed them down some more. Then I went with a friend to play with strollers- ask for help from the sales people when doing this. I also got my register package from BRU when I was in there. I filled out everything before I went to register. Then I made a master list and went to register with my stepmom. I already knew where stuff was since I had visted it before, knew which things I wanted to register for and had a great time and NO stress. I still added other items that were not on my list like the safety stuff, nettings, highchair mat, some clothes. It took me about 2 hours to complete it. Going in blind is totally too much, plus when I got home I rechecked what I registered for against reviews and found out that the bathtub Iand grooming sest registered for got awful reviews (I hadn't research those prior to going) so I made some notes and changed it the next day.

Jenn- make sure you read up on the registered items on those 2 sites if you haven't before. I love hearing from moms about which stuff broken quickly or was a pain to use or that they loved it.

Anna, I did the same thing as you--looked up other people's registries, even strangers to see what I was missing!!

Like Michele, I also looked online and researched a a lot before registering. I asked lots of questions here about car seats, etc. I think I started the registry at about 6-7 months. I kept a list and even started the registry online at BRU before going into the store.

Jenn- we registered for some of the same things- same swing, some crib toy, same bouncey set and some other stuff. what about your bassinet/cradle?
are you waiting for a bed set until the baby is born?

Yeah!!! I'm so glad you had fun!!! Your list looks great and like you pretty much covered it all! There's always going to be something else we'll need and even if you forgot to put it down, I'm sure somebody will buy it for you anyway!!!!

I'm also glad they had your registry up so quickly because they not only spelled my last name wrong, but they also had my email address wrong, so it took me a week to get it online!!!

As for peeking, I'm proud to say that I haven't peeked once! I went on mine to add stuff 2 days after I registered and saw stuff gone, so I got off right away! (After being ****ed that I couldn't finish! )

Michele, we must have good taste!
The bassinet we are using was mine when I was a baby, and the bedding set I wanted was hard to find in stores, so we already bought it online, so those things are covered.

LMAO!!! You are too funny!!! No, I'll be good!!! I have a feeling my shower is coming up soon -- I think w/in the next 2 weekends, but then again, I could be wrong!

If Joe tells me to wear the outfit I told him I wanted to wear, then I'll know!! I haven't received any 'fake' invitations, so I know if he says 'let's go to so and so', I'll know. Plus, my mother goofed and mentioned something about Whitestone when she was with my MIL, so I know it's in Whitestone!!!


And mind you, I'm not the nosy wanting to know type!! I want to be surprised, but these chooches don't know how to do that! I should've planned my own!!
