I think today MIGHT be my shower....UPDATED

Things have been disappearing rapidly off my registry.....I know my Mom mailed the invites out weeks ago because she made a mistake on them and FH was annoyed LOL.....we are supposed to go to my great aunt's 90th birthday party or something like that....she never has parties! And, instead of meeting my parents at their house and going together,FH and I have to meet them at the restaurant. Many little clues....

Then again, it could be my aunt's party! LOL

my sister knew when hers was(but had to act surprised... the day of my mom goes emily make sure she wears something nice like a dress I dont want her looking seedy) and im like thats going to give it away... oh well.. lol

My sister had figured out her shower years ago, and she was actually practicing being surprised, the best one is when she put her hands over her mouth, it really looked authentic!!! LOL Let us know how it goes, good luck acting surprised, and have fun!!!! PS I think I figued out when mine is already, people do not realize how lose lipped they are, and I just take it all in!!! I know it is in the planning stages.

its so funny b/c i know i want to be surprised but in a few months i will be walking around with my hair and make up and clothes done up every weekend!! lol!!

Good Luck and Have fun. Dress nice. My mom is funny and said to me the other day that her friend is throwing her daughters shower in September for an April 04 wedding to throw her off. NOT!! I know it is my shower. I am so good at figuring stuff out. I hate surprises. Congratulations and Enjoy!!!!

It was !!!!

My FH threw me off a little because he kept complaining that he didn't want to go to Aunt Elinor's party etc LOL...he told me later ' I couldn't even yell at you for running late because it would give it away!'.

We got to the restaurant (O'Neill's in Maspeth, Queens) and there are 2 entrances. I said I wasn't sure which way to go in because I know the bar entrance but had never used the party entrance. So FH asks the guy standing outside who works there, 'Which entrance is the party entrance?'

And the go says, 'Oh are you here for the bridal shower?' LOL ...FH was like 'yeah thanks , this is the bride right here you just gave it away!' But I had a suspicion anyway, so it was all good.

But when I walked in I really was surprised and overwhelmed by all the people that came and all the gifts! I had a really great time, got SO MANY things. Also, yesterday was the first time that FH family met my family. We went out to dinner after the shower and everyone got along great. All my stuff is at my mom's house, I am going back today to sort it all out but she will keep there until I move on 8/1. I couldn't even sleep last night just thinking about yesterday...now I am starting to get nervous but really looking forward to the wedding!
