I just called my photographer and they are still available to do video on my date. At first we were not going to get one because FH is strongly against it. But my parents really want one and are going to pay for it, so we're getting one. Just have to sign the contract and figure out which package! At first I wasn't sure if I wanted one either, but then I was leaning towards it also. I know it's expensive, but I don't want any regrets.

Congratulations. I wasn't going to get it at first either. But then FH told me that his neices and nephews watch their parents' videos. That was what sold me on it. I thought it would me nice for our children (in the future )

believe me, you won't regret it!
In fact, I say that you should ask to have ALL of your raw footage!
The day goes by SO FAST, you really won't remember it. It will be so nice to have the video to refresh your memory AND show you scenes that you never got to see that day!

Before I got married I thought, 'Who needs a video, when you have pictures and tons of memories?' Well, I am so glad my mother 'suggested' I get one, because that day was such a blur! I couldn't remember any details from my ceremony and I was so glad to get the raw footage the next day to just be able to take it all in and notice silly things like the beautiful flowers that lined the aisle and everyone's changing expressions...........priceless.

we're getting a video b/c I won't see my mom or the BP walk down the aisle. By getting the video I will be able to see it all. plus we'll have something to show our kids.

My FH (now DH) was totally against it. It was such a fight!!! In the end we went for it, but he had very strict instructions for the videographer to stay in one place during ceremony etc. It's ready now, but we haven't been able to pick it up because we're in London I can't wait to see it!!
If you need any extra ammo, you can use this story--my uncle just recently moved and while cleaning out his house, he found a bunch of 8mm films. When they watched them they realized that one was my mom's wedding. She is SOOO excited!! It's really cute. and I, as her only daughter, can't wait to see it!!! She didn't even know it existed.
