I thought I found the one - Help!

I ordered my dress this Saturday :) I just knew that it was the one.

However, I just found out this morning that a friend of mine - whose wedding is in September and whose wedding will have a lot of the same guests - has the same dress.

I'm not sure how to feel about this... Should I let it bother me?

The worst part is that I can't talk to FH becuase he'll see the dress and what mine is going to look like

This happened to me but it was my cousin!!! what are you going to do... I think it is a personal thing... if you think it will bother you then switch or you will never be happy! But if you really love the dress... F%^& emm!

I think it's fine that you both wear the same dress. If you love it, don't settle for something you're not completely happy with. I really don't think anyone would say anything, and if they do then there's something wrong with them IMO!! Plus September-May is plenty of time in between, you'll be fine!!

I agree.. It is your day.. It only comes once so wear the dress you love... After you add the veil and your jewelry it will look different.. dont sweat it!!

You have 8 months btw your weddings, will any one even notice? I am sure you look very different with different hair. flowers etc! Do not tell anyone and they will not know! And the one for you could be the one for someone else!

Don't worry that someone else is wearing your dress...Picking your dress is something personal & if that is what you like, then don't sweat it! Every dress looks different on other people

If you love it, keep it! I agree that no one will remember her dress. It will look completely different on you.

i agree that you should not care - its only a dress - but just for your own sanity - i would change it - just because you KNOW your friend's tounge is wagging away right now. even the nicest girl in the world would be twisted by a friend wearing the EXACT dress - its like a competition who will look better. even if that was NEVER your intention.

so i think you should save a friendship and keep an eye out for another. or return the one you bought and ask your friend to borrow hers that way you can turn this into a sentimental thing.....'i love your dress so much....'

I think go with the dress you want... There is a lot of time between your weddings and no one will notice... besides the same dress looks different on different body types and won't look completely the same. I would however, make sure that no ones knows about it because someone may say in front of your FH that you two have the same dress, and he would know what your dress looked like...
