I thought I was planning so far in advance!

I called DUET to set up an appointment and they are already booked on my day! I thought I was planning far in advance but I guess someone else has the same thoughts. Now I am nervous that everything will book up!

Not everything will book up, but starting early is the best way to go. I have not come across any vendor that is booked for my date, and my wedding is before yours.

I think DUET has a very popular name around here, and your date is another popular 'number' combo, so that might be why.

Take a breath and continue with your appointments. It will all be ok!

omg same thing happened to me last month. thought we were on top of it and even since we are getting married on a sun we wouldnt have to worry about anything but nope lol

but they were the only vendors we had that prob with so far. we ended up booking with Patken a week later and it was tie for first place photographer btwn them and duet so im still just as happy. we just called duet first cause i saw them at a bridal expo the night before

Wow... were you guys looking for a specific photographer? I thought they had like 6 or 7 or them. I would have thought a year and a half in advance would have been enough time.

no one special but DUET has become very popular, I know most of the people we know used them also. We called gave them our date and they called back like 5 mins later saying they don't have anyone available. When I was at the bridal expo talking with them there was a girl near me saying she called a few months ago and they were all booked on her date also.

But they are the only vendor we had that problem with

The same thing happened to me as well when I messaged them to make an appointment.

I see your getting married on a Sunday also. I had posted on BHB for photo suggestions since they were booked, and one girl mentioned that this happened to her as well and she called and demanded to speak to someone other then the front desk in order to make an appt. Turns out they prefer not to take work on Sundays.
I think she ended up getting them to work for her, but I just felt if they didn't want my money, I'd find someone else who was happy to!

I know! I got soo freaked out when we booked the RH in Feburary, and we got the last Sat night in June that was available. But knock on wood everything else has been ok.

I am sure you will find a photographer you love. There are SO many good ones.

thanks girls! I wasn't trying to book anyone in partcular. The guy I spoke to said they do not have alot of availability on Sunday. Oh well...I am sure we will find someone fabulous!

i booked with Patken - met them at an expo at our hall and liked them then, and when i saw there pics i liked them more and when we met with them i loved them! so im very happy so far lol we are going for our e-pics on the 18th

If this helps you..duet told me they only do like 2 parties on Sunday cause they dont like to put their employees on.

Thats y i didnt go with them..cause i was not convinced that if an emergency happend with one of them they would have a back up on a sunday night!

Dont be stressed..you are planning in advanced!

o wow i would have never thought about the back up photographer. yea i wouldnt wanna risk that either.
its so odd that they wouldnt work on certain days

ehh im happy with our photographers now tho :)

This post realllllllly scares me. We are going to look at photographers as soon as I finish finals (this Friday is my last). We were also going to look at Duet, but now I'm assuming they booked our date I'll call soon and update..
