my colors are purple and gold but Im having trouble finding the right cardstock now i think this one is too dark

For a first try you did great. Look for lighter paper.

Its purple - the pattern on it is gold but Its not showing up very well

Maybe you could support the inside with that thick clear plastic (the kind you used for book reports) that way it is still transparent with your colored paper around it so no one will know
