Yesterday I went to Princess Bridals. I don't like the place. My mom was turned off immiedately so I knew we would not be back. However, I tried on a Rena Koh gown and I love it! One of THREE gowns I tried on. I got no help or suggestions on other gowns I could try on. No slip was given to me to use, no nothing!! My mom was more upset than I was! To top it off it smelled musty in the place. Sort of like a basement (my mom said it as soon as we walked in). I am not sure if one of the gowns on Rena Koh's site is the ONE I love. I have to do some investigation to find it somewhere else.
Anyway, I went to Wedding Plaza today and had a much BETTER experience. The people there were the total opposite of PB. Found one Jasmine gown I liked a lot but I didn't have that WOW feeling like the RK one. Soooo my search continues...

How exciting Wanda!! I went to Lilette's and they carry Rena Koh gowns. You should give Gerri a call. Good Luck with your search

I also went to Princess Bridal, and I felt the same way. I felt rushed, and all the dresses that I like the woman hesitated to give to me, and when she asked me how much I wanted to spend all the dresses that she gave me were $300-$500 under my budget. But on the other hand someone I know recommended that place and she had a great exprience. I guess it depends on who you get. But I wouldn't recommened it to anyone and I wouldnt buy the dress there either.

I hated Princess Bridals- so sketchy. Lillettes also has Rena Koh and they are way nicer. Adrianna- I had the same exact experience-

I went two days ago, and I also hated it. I had a similar experience. I came in with pictures of 7 gowns, their style numbers and designer (I called in advance, they said they had it)...they didn't have ANY of them. I was annoyed, because I drove about 1 hour to get there...but I thought, just give it a chance, maybe they'll have suggestions.
THen the lady showed me a few dresses a said that they looked exactly like the dresses in the pictures...when I said I didn't like them, she once again said, 'I don't know why you don't like it, it looks exactly like the pictures'. I said it didn't. She asked me to tell her the differences because she said that she didn't see them. When I pointed out the facts that the dress I liked was a ball gown, this one wasn't, the dress I liked had poufy sleeves and they were short off the shoulder....this one had super long sleeves, wasn't a ball gown, and wasn't off the shoulder.
The saleswoman really turned me off. The place was also a mess. Then the saleswoman was trying to pressure me into making another appointment. HA HA, she must be kidding@!

Some people have better experiences than others. I just know we won't go back there again! I am going to make an appt with Geri at Lillette's for this weekend.
I still keep thinking about the Rena Koh dres...

I was a Lillette's bride ... after we shopped all diff kinds of places. They were by far the nicest, most helpful, most REASONABLE bridal salon. My girls got there dresses there & they loved it as well. I would highly recommend that you go!
The shop where you buy your dress is sooo impt. If you're not treated well at try-on, can you imagine what it'll be like when you give them your money?!
What a very lovely dress I had a Jasmine dress, she makes such beautiful dresses.

i didn't like princess bridals either----the lady insisted i try on a dress that i knew i didn't want-(toooo plain--i wanted detail) and i told her that but she still insisted i put it on-the nerve! she said humor me-i said fine but i know i won't like it--i put it on-didn't like it an d told her it''s toooo plain---then she's like well we could add something here and there---uhhh hello---i want a dress 'as is'--i don't want to imagine how it might look!---......then we were looking through the racks (which she wasn't too fond of) and started looking at dresses in the racks by the dressing rooms-which were i guess off limits to the public to look through and she kind of yelled at us -but we kept looking---what else--oh she tried to push a $3000 dress on me--it was pretty but there was a part i didn't like and she's like your crazy---if i don't like it i don't like don't call me crazy! so i stayed in the $3K dress a little longer pretending that it was a possibility to make her think she was getting a sale and said forget it --i don't like anything here-let's go!........the only positive i will say about this place is that they have a big selection of dresses--go only if you think you can deal w/some bull****!---sorry this was so long--i was actually just going to write 1 sentence and it turned into this!
