I wanna redo our house now!!!!!!!!!

I wish we could afford to remodel our house now. As of now our plans to completely remodel the house will happen right after we get married but I'm starting to get antsy lol. When we need to buy something for the house I feel like it's a waste because I'm not sure as of next year when everything is brand new what our colors will be and if everything we're buying now we'll use. Does that make sense???? But it's even harder when you work in a HUGE furniture store and see all these 'model rooms' that are sooo pretty and I get to walk around here all day and get soo many idea!!!! Just a little vent...I understand we have to wait but I just needed to get all that out

And hey, just be happy you two have a home...that's a huge step in the right direction!

Enjoy live without renovations for as long as you can! we have had our lives upside down since December when we started our 'home improvements.' Everything is everywhere, nothing is/was getting finished before others are started!! It's a very stressful situation. People may tell you that it is so fun and exciting, but nobody ever says how draining it is, emotionally and physically. What we did get out of it...when we buy our next house in a few years, we are definitely buying one that doesn't need any renovations!!!

Okay, I just read that back and I sound like such a negative nelly, BUT it is great to have a project to work on with your fh and the finished product is so rewarding...I just wanted to warn you of the bumps in the road! Good luck!

I totally agree We're still apartment dwellers, if only FH would consider looking in Suffolk or the South Shore He doesn't want to live the area he grew up in, I'd be happy w/ a anyway. Petey needs a yard of his own

I totally understand what ur saying!!!!!!
We moved in september of 06 and we finaly just got permits to redo the house, we would of done it so much faster if we werent waiting for the town to approve us.
We just used our furniture from our apartment wich we are actually selling on craigslist now, because when we finish the house we will need all new stuff cause our furniture will be way to small.
Hang in there, waiting is the hardest part, but once construction starts i will let u know the hell i am in, so far they gutted the entire house in a day and a half. We live in teh basement its liek a studio but its cute we have our tv, bed, and 2 computers. not to bad. No Kitchen but i never cooked anyway. We sold our whole kitchen on craigslist for 1000 bucks too. people will buy anything
