So I don't mind me if I ask a million questions. I really need to get full swing into this planning anyway....
For instance, if you get a card box do you still go around collecting the cards or do people just drop them in??

Yknow..thats a good question..
From the weddings Ive been to the bride and groom go around to each table greeting the guest and collecting the cards..I guess after thats done you place the cards yourself in the card box..I dunno..I could be wrong..

FH and I are going to place the cards in ourselves. The card box is going behind our sweetheart table. I would rather do that.

yikes, id feel funny going around collecting envelopes myself...ill just leave my card chest out for ppl. JMO.

well i guess i finally found a date twin. . . . we had a card box at our engagement party and people would hand us the cards and we would put them in there ourselves. . . .

I don't think you'll have to go around collecting cards if you put the box out where people can see it. Some people will still want to hand it to you and some will put it in the box.

That is such a good question. I think if u put the card box out so people can see it should be no problem. Knowing my mother she will probably give me a little money bag ne way!

It depends, some people forget or don't see the box and hand them to you anyway. My FH and I are placing the Card box next to the guest book right when they walk in so they can see it and drop it in. Its going to be crazy enough that day to be handed stuff in the middle of things. CONGRATS!!!!

As for the card box-- The weddings I've been to-- As people say goodnight, they hand the card to the bride or groom and they slip it into the box.

See my MOH told me that it's only proper to get the card when you go around and greet your guests. I'm just thinking that if I'm the one putting the cards in the box I shouldn't worry so much about what kind I get.
