I want attention!

There's work being done to my apartment because FH is moving in and wants to change a few things.

First off, every time FMIL comes into the office, she talks about how nice everything is coming out. This shouldn't bother me, but it's annoying to have to hear about my own apartment. Whatever, I know I'm being a baby about that.

How about this though?
I go to work earlier than FH, so he is around when some of the construction is being done and takes some pics to see the progress.
Why can't I be the first to see and talk about the work being done? Why must FH go to his parents FIRST? Is it THEIR house? Is it THEIR construction? NO! It's ours and I'm ready to stomp my feet and whine like a baby about it.

oh man i know EXACTLY what you mean. you are totally right IMO. you are the couple and the partnership and he should come to you first!

p.s. i replied to you in the weight post b/c i think we are the same person.

I just saw! Yeah we're totally the same person I think you're short too right? I'm pushing it saying I'm 5'1.5'!

I just went up to FH and said (nicely), 'Can you talk to ME now about what happened today?' He's like yeah and he seemed almost sincere about it, kinda like I didn't mean to talk to my parents for so long. Whatever We spoke for 3 minutes and then he made a phone call and now he's talking to his mom again. UGH!

i'd be upset as well ... you should come first, not his mom!

i would tell him exactly that (and i have told my FH)

yup. I'm 5'1 almost exactly. and FH is the SAME way. we had to have a 'talk' a while ago about how he goes to his mommy for every little thing!

LOL....I can sorta relate....whenever I have a wedding related decision to make, and I ask FH his opinion...he's like.....'ask my mother', 'call my mother'.....so the other day I was like, ' I am marrying you not your mother, when the priest asks...do you take this woman to be your wife, are you going to say, 'ask my mother'....LOL

FH is Greek, so it's like the same thing. Oh the momma's boys we fall for

boys are stupid. he should show u first, i would tell him that its bothering you.
