Lillette's said they only let the dresses come in 6-8 weeks before the wedding cause they don't want to store them. I am actually mad because when i ordered it, we told them we wanted it in March and they said ok and wrote it on the slip, but when i spoke to them last month they said no way she said they only get them sooner if they are getting discontinued.

I cant believe that these places get away with saying one thing and then doing something totally different sorry! but dont worry, 2 months before to start with fitting is the perfect time besides Im sure they do this all the time, so the dress will come in time

I find that so weird that people were told that from Lillette's. I ordered my gown back in June and was told it would come in in March. But it came in December, and they didn't give me any problems.

a friend of mine had a similar issue with lillettes... they never ordered the dress when she thought they were ordering it b/c they didn't want to store it and it was discontinued in the interim and she wound up having to buy a gown off the rack weeks before her wedding... which is why even though i *found* my dress at lillettes, i ordered it from village bridal, who places the order the day after i put the deposit down (which was a good thing b/c ironically my dress ended up getting discontinued the next month!)
my advice to everyone - LIE ABOUT YOUR DATE!!! then later say you pushed it back
