I want my $$ (kind of long)!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently moved from Stamford, CT back to NYC where I have lived for 4 years after graduation. FH & I moved to Stamford b/c we both work there, but decided it wasn't for us and we'd rather commute.

So, we moved out in mid-Nov and were told that our last water/sewage bill was going to be taken out of our security deposit. Well, more than a month later, we haven't received security deposit and we just got a BILL for water/sewage for $100!!!

I called the office and they were like 'I have no idea and no one else is in the office until Monday.' Ummmmmmmmmmm what?? Keep in mind, they work on Saturdays too. So absolutely no one can help me.

I am SO ANNOYED!! I want the $$ for Xmas shopping - maybe I wouldn't be such a Scrooge if I could actually get my money!!!

this happened to me... 'check's in the mail' 3 months later nothing. i went down to the office and told them to cancel the original check and write me a new one

yes after i called and b#itched them out and told them they better have a check waiting for me or i'd report them to the bbb

eta: they also had given so much trouble the entire length of the lease for maintenance issues. like NOT HAVING HEAT/HOT WATER FOR TWO WEEKS.
