I want some ideas

for the reception... maybe stuff to put on the tables?? I have long banquet tables and I am only putting 10 people at each table so there will be room... I am just bored

How about little bags with Hershey Hugs and Kisses and attaching a little note...'Hugs and Kisses from the new MR. & Mrs.'

You can do that youself and fairly inexpensive. Also, who dosent love chocolate!

I love the hershey kisses idea!! its so funny b/c I had sooooooooooo many cute little ideas like that when I first got engaged and when I first came to LIW... but then I guess as the wedding gets closer you get pre-occupied with the bigger stuff and you forget all the nice little things that you thought of way back when

eta: I think I will wait till before valentines day since we are doing a red and white theme... and I will pick out all those colors to make the little bags..... or I can wait till after xmas and just eat all the green ones

I am already doing menus thanks to nessiepie!

It might seem very simple, but placing rose petals on the tables are a very elegant way of filling space. This is something that I did when I was bored. I went on ebay and purchased a lot of glass votive holders and started to hand paint them. It adds a real personal touch and candles create such a romantic atmosphere.

actually we are already going to do the rosepetals but I LOVE the idea of the hand painted votives!!! do you mind me asking what kind of paint you used? and what kind of stuff did you paint on them?? originally I was going to tie burgandy ribbon around all of them but I think this would be nicer!!
