i want to design my own flower girl dress UNLESS....

anyone can tell me if they make this:

my mom said i can get it made in the philippines. i don't really wanna go thru the trouble of doing that if i can just find a dress like this. i've found similar but i want the dress ALL satin. nothing sheer over the skirt. i want the dress to be all the same material.

any idea where i can find a halter dress for a lil girl?

it seems like a pretty simple dress, i'm sure you can find it somewhere. if not, you can always get a spaghetti strap/strapless dress and have it altered. also, there are MANY places to get something like that made in ny.

i'd offer to make it for you, but i'm in tx right now w/o my sewing machine... =0(

ps - go fabric shopping in nyc's fabric district. it's MUCH cheaper there. (satin's like $3 a yard as compared to joann's $8/yd.)

i mean if you think it's worth it, go for it. but you also have to factor in time, convinience, and shipping, and what if something is off (measurement wise or something). just to give you an idea or prices, the materials for that dress should cost about 20-ish, MAYBE 30 dollars, and that's overestimating. i made my prom dress for about $50 using joann's fabrics (overpriced) and for ME, not a little girl. the $30 your mom can have it done for is a good deal, but you have to weigh the pros and cons. i'd shop around for a seamstress close to you and see what they can offer just as a comparison. hey, maybe the person who's altering your dress can throw this (or give you a discount) in for you.
