Ok my parents and FH like to gang up on me when they are together. They all think its funny and I'm getting really tired of it. I finally snapped today when my dog fell down the stairs and everyone started to blame me that I kicked her...meanwhile my dog is 15 and I was soooo worried that she hurt herself. FH was standing right there and didnt say anything about the dog falling. He just went along with the jokes as always. I'm getting so tired of him thinking its a big joke and taking myside and helping me out. So naturally I say something to him tonight b/c I dont want it brought up infront of my parents b/c he will say something stupid and think its a joke. He starts telling me its a joke and that I dont know how to take it and that he's never met anyone as sensitive as me and turned all of it on me. I got to the point that I didnt even want to talk to him and got so upset that I just said goodnight love you and hung up (we never get off the phone without saying I love you no matter how mad we are at each other).
I just dont know if its just me really being too sensitive but he NEVER stands up for me and its always a joke at my expense when its my family around. I'm so tired of it that I just lost it tonight.

I'm soo sorry that ur going through this. The only advice I have is to try to talk to him when you both are cooled down and face to face. Try to explain how it really makes you feel and while it might seem silly to him but it is how you feel. Good Luck!

im sorry u have to deal with that. Ur def not too sensitive! i feel the same way when FH takes my fam's side and thinks its a joke. does his fam joke as well? can u give him a taste of his own medicine?

I could easily joke with his family but I know the big problem is I grew up with a house full of women (my poor dad) and he grew up with all buys (minus his mom). SO its very hard for him to see my side since in his house its normal. 99% of the time I know its a joke but there are times when its just too much and he doesnt let up b/c he thinks its funny and I HATE it. I just want him to understand that it bothers me and to maybe be a little more understanding where I'm coming from without getting mad back at me (typical Italian)

im sorry u r going through this..maybe he does it so ur parents n him seem more buddy buddy..i think the best thing is just to talk 2 him n say how u feel..hope u feel better

aww hun im so sorry that this happend to you tonight! i hope that everything is ok! tomorrow is another day and you both should just sit down and talk and you should talk to him face to face and really tell him this bothers you and you dont like when he does this to you! i am sure he will understand you and understand where you are coming from! :) good luck with it all! xoxo

Thanks ladies, unfortunatly I was up 1/2 the night upset with everything. I really want to be able to talk everything out with him. I hate going to bed upset/angry

im just like you hun! whenever me and fh are fighting about something i can never go to sleep! i hate going to sleep mad at him or not in good terms. it kills me! so i know exactly how you're feeling! :( hope everything worked out and you guys talked it out and everything is ok now! let us know! :)

Kristen I'm so sorry you're going through this, and I hope your dog is alright!!!!! Sometimes guys just don't know when to stop, I think its a chromosome thing, and they don't get that we're sensitive, but you have to stand your ground sometimes FH takes things too far and I have to tell him, and he gets pi$$y for a while and then realizes I'm right but you have to let him know that you love him, but the joking all the time has to calm down, FM me if you need anything!!!

Oh he initially thought he was being funny but he learned pretty quickly that it bothered me. I spent most of the morning not talking to him (avoiding e-mails and phone calls) but then we finally worked things out and I even got him to make a few wedding phone calls I think I got him at a guilty moment
