I want to KILL FH..

I am supposed to go down to VA thurday and he said he would take care of hotel...through MILITARY...

HE Hasn't!!! He's been so busy with tests and all.

Now what I can't find anything under $250/night!

This is why I should have known better and done it myself

all booked (holiday weekend!) This is rediculuos I am so mad that I did not take care of it myself. You'd think I'd have known him by know.

Any amount we wold have posibly saved with military,,,,we will not be paying 10x it.

He is in Yorktown (but he said not to stay there)

call the hotels front desks, give them your little sob story and of course mention your Military fiance, maybe a few people can pull some strings to make things work out. You have nothing to lose by asking ! Tell them youre saving for a wedding, and really need a more affordable price.

This is a tough one! I'm still trying but all I've found so far is at the Hilton by the airport

also orbiz.com has both the Hilton and Hampton Inn at the airport. Ugh...only smoking rooms away from the airport!!!!

It seems as though another option would be to try to say you are a business traveler and book the Econolodge for $110 a night (orbiz.com)!

orbitz.com also has the Doubletree Club Norfolk Airport airport available for $143 or $128

The other hotels I see available there are in Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, or Hampton (6-12 miles from Norfolk city center). Since I haven't been there I don't know if they are too far from the base or if they are in areas you don't want to stay in. Good luck and try orbitz.com if you haven't already. I had the most luck looking on there.
