I really had the day from hell today!!! Everything was going great, me & MimiMcG's sister were out running errands (hmmmm I wonder what we were up to Mimi....lol!!!), we were driving along on Jericho Turnpike and an f'n truck drove right into the door of my car!!!! He literally merged from the left lane into my car.....he was trying to get over and he said I was in his blind spot......at least he pulled over, maybe he had to b/c it was a commercial truck and it had the company name shown in big letters (so I would've tracked that sucka down if he would've tried to get away!!
I can't believe the day I had, I still feel shaken up, but at least we're ok.......if we would have been going faster, it could have been a lot worse!! oh and we had to wait an hour for the cops to come.....that was fun!!!
Be careful on the road ladies- there's plenty of maniacs out there!! This was my very first car accident in the 8 years I'm driving, I'm so upset!!!

If it makes you feel better, I've been through a nearly identical accident, and was declared to be at 0% fault... Likely you will be the same, so your insurance rates will not be affected, and tiy won't pay a dime...
glad no one was hurt!

Thank God you're OK--I drive on the BQE everyday and I HATE all of the trucks that drive like maniacs! So scary!

Sorry to hear that Helen. Hope you are ok. I was in an accident also on Wed. Luckily there were no injuries. The lady in front of me suddenly stopped short and I hit her. She had a big truck and got no damage. I got probably about the same as yours. It stinks! This is added stress that we both don't need.
thanks Joyce!! sorry to hear you had an accident too!! I never realized how little time there is to react when your in an accident, and now I can really see that its like a blur. And your exactly right, we just didn't need more stress.....for once I'm grateful I work in the city b/c I take the train everyday. If I still worked in Queens I'd really be screwed b/c my car will be out of commission when they fix/replace the door.

sorry to hear about your accident but at least you're ok. I was in an accident about a month ago and the girl totaled my car He wasn't paying attention and slammed into me at 50 miles an hour! I was lucky that he didn't push me into on coming traffic! I am still nervous to drive so I know how you feel but just get back in the car and go. There are definitely maniacs out there!!!!!!
OMG!!!! I hope your ok!! that must have been some impact! yeah I was grateful too that no one hit me from behind when I started to brake as the guy was hitting my car. that would have definitely made it worse! glad that your ok now, and if your not, SUE HIS *SS!!!!!
