I Was In a Car Accident Yesturday...UPDATE...

Hey Everyone,
I haven't been on in a while b/c of Turkey Day and working alot. Then yesturday my partner and I was responding to a Burglary in progress, and a livery cab decided to make a U-Turn right in front of us and then stopped like a deer in headlights when he saw us. My partner did everything to avoid him, but we ended up crashing into him, then into a row of parked cars. My partner is all banged up, but i broke my arm... ... It's my right arm, so doing things with my left is very weird, even trying to type. Well, I'm going to be home from work for at least 2 months, and tomorrow I have to see an Orthopedic Surgeon to see if I need surgery. I broke the upper part of my arm (by the bicep muscle) in two places, and there is a peice of bone floating between both breaks.... Oh what fun!

Soooo... I'll be on alot.. I'm going to become very good at typing my my left hand ...

Thanks for letting me share, I'm going to need you guys. I'm not use to being grounded like this... I actually love my job....



UPDATE....

Thank you all for being concerned and so sweet. I'm so glad that since I have to be home, at least I have alot of friends to keep me company...

I went to the Orthopedic, and he wants to try a fracture brace for a week to see if it straightens out the break thats on an angle.. If it doesn't work, then i'll need surgery. Thank you all again for all of your support

OMG Gina...that is horrible. I am glad it was only your arm that is hurt even though that really stinks too Hugs to you and your partner

Thanks girls!!! Its so fustrating not to be able to do normal things. And everything is starting to get sore now. My nose and left side of my facing is killing me from the airbag...

And...I missed all of you so much..

I am just glad that you are ok...were you wearing your seatbelt???

My brother is a cop and does not wear his..but I know its so they can get out of the car faster

And just to add- I work in a physical therapy office, and I have to say that you're definitely doing the right thing by seeing the Ortho and checking into surgery. We see sooooo many patients that just let it heal on it's own, when they really needed the surgery!

I was wearing my belt, but i know how your brother feels. When your trying to get out fast, the seatbelt gets caught aroung the gun. It happens to me a lot...

OMG...well at least it is just a broken arm...thank god it wasnt worse although broken arms suck!!!

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that! The important thing it that you'll both be OK.
