I was so mad at DH last night

Yesterday was day 12 so I decided to test with the OPK in the morning and got a strong surge line. I told DH that he'd better be ready to get busy! So he gets home from school last night and I'm all ready to go, but he tells me he's too tired. I was like, 'WHAT???!!!' Do you want a child or not??!!! Jeez, it only takes 5 mintues, what's the big deal? So he kept on saying, 'of course I want kids but I'm just tired'. I kept trying to explain to him that I could be ovulating at any time but he just didn't get it. He was like, 'can't we do it in the morning?' I said the morning might be too late! Since I had already gotten the surge line, I may have gotten one the day before too if I had tested.

Ugh, I was so upset. We BD'd this morning but he'd better hope it wasn't too late

P.S. And I don't get how a 29 year old male could EVER be too tired for sex. Especially a quickie!

Alright, Ann...PERSPECTIVE!!

I know how badly you want a baby, but you're making sex seem like a chore for DH. Do you really want to tell your child one day that on the night he or she was conceived, you had to rape his/her father?

i know exactly what you mean! this will be our fourth month trying and i know that dh is getting more and more frustrated with me with each passing month.....it is very tough trying to time it around my o-day. i just want to be pg so we can go back to normal. i have decided to back off a little, though, because i am driving both of us crazy!

Farah, I hear ya, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do! I would love for it to be all romantic and stuff, but timing is everything!

lilmrs - no, I didn't test again for a surge this morning. It doesn't really matter at this point, right? We already BD'd so I figured we'll just keep at it for the next couple of days (if he's not too tired, that is! )

kakarch - this is like our fourth month too. DH just doesn't understand how painful it is for me when I find out I'm not PG. My age is really getting to me - every month that goes by is a month closer to me turning 35
I know I shouldn't let that stress me out but it just does......

Since I'm going to be in this position really soon, I can only imagine how upset you aere feel about this, Ann. And I know how rough it is becoming when you keep trying month after month with no positive result.

Maybe it wasn't a day too late, and this morning (and/or the next few days) will do the trick

luckily my husband is the type of man who can wake up from adeep sleep never open his eyes and do the deed, but I know that there were a few times when we would fall alseep early in front of the TV and wake up the next morning and I would freak out thinking that we missed the right time, but remember, the surge comes 24-48 hrs prior to 'O', so you may have still gotten in under the clock!!! Good luck, I'm really praying for you this month, you sooo deserve it!

29 and too tired?? I wish sometimes my DH would be too tired! How frustrating for you, BUT I'm keeping my fingers crossed and sending some extra extra baby dust your way.
