I was supposed to have a make up trial on Saturday

My best friend referred me to someone to do my make up. Free trial and all. (She is a manager at one of the counters in Macy's)

And she cancelled on me!(via text message none the less) I am only in NY for this weekend and I don't know if I should give her another chance during my November trip to NY.

Kristen I think we have the same problems. the whole hair and m/u thing is not working out for me as well as I hoped for
did she give u a reason? if its a valid reason I would give her another chance.

well her text message said 'unfortunately i cant do it on saturday...how about monday?' and i cant on monday

i didnt realize this hair and make up thing was going to be such a big deal

thats exactly what I said to FH when I was having a nervous break down on the account of the same issue LOL
I dont know if her excuse is good enough (or lack of it) I would try others. I thought u are having a trial w/Mya? cant she do it for u?

Can you see if any of the m/u vendors on here are avail for a trial any time this weekend? You might as well take advantage of being home...

It stinks when vendors cancel but maybe it's a sign You wouldn't want that to happen on your wedding day!

i was only supposed to have a hair trial with mya...but i called her and she is going to do hair and make up trials for me which is good. i was just looking forward to the make up trial with the other lady because it was free LOL and now I have to pay $55 for mya to do it. but whatever

Mya seems very reliable from what I hear so if you book her at least you can have peace of mind that she's not likely to cancel on your wedding day!!!

my motto is: better to pay a bit more and get it done right. Mya is a professional and this is what she does, the other woman by the sound of it does this on the side. this actually IMO turned out better
