with a shower yesterday! For those who remember my story, I told my sisters not to burden themselves throwing a shower for my youngest sister, who's also getting married in September, and for me. She is young and just starting out, so I insisted that she have her day. We had a huge shower for her in June and it was great! Well yesterday, FH and my daughter took me to 'brunch' at Bourbon Street in Bayside and lo and behold in the backroom was an initimate gathering of my closest friends and cousins! I was very touched by it all. It was small and simple and wonderful! I got beautiful gifts and some raunchy ones too - on the invites my sister said 'adult wishing well' - everyone knows what a prude I am so they really enjoyed my embarrassment! It was fun though. My other sister (I have 3) is supposed to email me pix so as soon I get them, I'll post.
