Re: I was wondering
Hmmmmmmm I just asked my mama.
She said the same thing as your mom! I asked her why and she didn't know. Haha, I guess it's just something that people figured had nice sentiment back then?

Yea I've heard of it. I plan on getting ready at my parents house and taking pictures in their room. I don't really know why its a tradition but it is! I kinda like it

Re: I was wondering
lolol!!!! I don't think it's a tradition -I think parents made this up 'cause they want their daughters to look pretty in their room- but I can totally see the bride taking pics in her room, and I actually like this idea better because it's more meaninnful of who the bride is.

Re: I was wondering
Do you think it's because they typically have the biggest room in the house?

Re: I was wondering
I've never heard of that and my mom has been carrying around this stupid etiquette book with her since day 1. She never mentioned anything like that. I'm sure if it was in there, she would've mentioned, and then I would've said...um...no!

I never heard of that, though oddly enough on the wedding day I will be getting ready in my mother's room just because it's nicer looking and bigger
