I was wondering will I miss my CH?

My church is in Rosedale(border line of Queens/Nassua. Starting at 3:30pm. I am having a ceremony. The reception is in great neck starting at 6 30. Will I have enough time, for pictures and to catch my CH?

The priest said, we would be done by 4 30. I don't understand why he said that, I will be using the full 1 hour. When I got the short (mass), the ceremony. Any ideas?

Thanks

We are alos having a ceremony and our priest said that it would be 1/2 hour. Are you hvaing additional readings? Maybe he included the time for the receiving line.

Where are you taking pics? I think if you are taking them near or inbetween the church and Leonards, you will be able to go to the CH. Even if you only get a 1/2 hour of that..its better than nothing

What day of the week is it?

It is a busy saturday...and lately I do not like the way the traffic has been looking during the weekend spring time.

I am having 3 reading/unity candle. My coordinator told me, I don't have time to be late to the church. If I am, I will screw myself. Yes, the priest included the recieving line. He said, if the church is pack..it will take a little longer.

I have the same worries. My ceremony is at 3 in Brooklyn and my cocktail hr starts at 6 in Roslyn. I'm praying we make at least part of it.

All, I can say is try not to be late..If you are on the belt parkway going to roslyn...It will take a while. You may catch it if the reception area...has parks ver near it.

I plan on starting...even if the girls are late. I don't care.

Hey, I grew up in Rosedale - what church are you getting married at?

I think that you will be fine. Definitly do not be late. Your prob should account for maybe an extra 1/2 hour or 20 mins at the church for pics and maybe the longer receiving line liek the priest said. I think they key to the fast receiving line is to 1. don't talk to anyone, say thank you and move on. 2. don't have a lot of people on the line. I think we are going to just do our parents, I think the BP is not necessary

We plan on taking pics at the duckpond right by the hotel.

It will probably take a full hour with 3 readings and the unity candle. Not to mention the procession in/out, as well as the receiving line. However, I think you will definately be able to make your CH at Leonard's, at least part of it. Did you plan on going somewhere else to take pics in between? Because that will add additional time. Leonard's has beautiful places to take pics both inside and out.
