I went for my CT scan today update a bottom of page

I got to mather hospital a little after 2 and i had to drink this yuky stuff but it was disguised as a banana drink and before i went in i had to drink a small one too. than they gave me a iv in my arm than they put contrast into the iv and i was done by 3:50 and i had to sit for 15 minutes to make sure i wasn't woozy so people get delayed reactions from the contrast but i was fine. now i have to wait 42 hours for the results i will kepp ya posted!Thanks for caring!

I know all about the yucky contrast needed for a cat scan. After having several ct scans,
I am able to drink them in about 15 minutes.

Let us know how the results come out!!!

it took me a half hour to drink it! but yes i will def. keep you all posted!

Yikes....not fun drinking that yucky stuff, but atleast that's done and over with. Good luck with your results....keep us posted!! In the meantime as anxiety of the results kick in

Well my mom called and she said that the doctor called her and told her i had a cyst on my left overie and that it was a sizable one now i have to go to a gyno for a sonogram to see it i might need surgery or i might have to take something for it, i have a appointment for june 1st will this ever end for me i must be a bad person all i have nothing but bad luck going on right now i am so sad!

Feel better Roseann! You will be fine. Worst case is they stick you on the pill to help prevent them.

How come they called your mom and not you directly??? I've never heard of that.

thanks allie i knew i had a cyst i been feeling miserable but didn't know where now i have to call mom and tell her(your future mother in law) maybe i will wait till tonight.

the doctor said he tried calling me but i never returned his call i never got a call from him about the cyst and thats the only appointment they have because monday they are closed i wish it was monday so i can get it done and over with.

Oh, don't worry, it'll be okay If they are waiting until June 1st, then that is a good sign. Let us know how how your appointment is.

Here's and for you! I had a cyst on my ovary when I was 24 years old. It was very large (10 cm in diameter) and before the surgery, my doctor didn't know whether she could save my ovary or not. I also had to have exploratory surgery because this type of cyst (Dermoid) has a 5% cancer rate. I was very, very lucky though - she was able to remove the cyst clean, there was no cancer and I became pregnant with my daughter 6 months later. I was told that there was a 30% chance that the cyst would develop on my other ovary within my lifetime but it's been 15 years since the surgery and so far, so good.
