I went for my first fitting and my dress doesn't fit!
I gained weight in the boob area and now its so tight I can't breathe! The seamstress said it would be really hard to let it out because of all the beading on the bodice. I only have a month before my wedding. Can i lose enough weight in that amount of time?

Which Maggie do you have? Does it have a corset back? Everyone gave me the impression that the Maggies were so much easier to alter/adjust b/c of the corset back...

i have the same problem my dress was to tight. by alot. try not having cups put in, or try side to side exercies 3 to 5 times a day in a chair with some little weights in your hands. i now that sound like much but it might help.

Do you have a good corset? I found that the better corsets pulled everything together and made my dress fit so much nicer. It is really important to have good foundation garments!

Weddings Rock - What a GREAT suggestion!
Do a search on Mary's, I think it's in Woodbury. A lot of the girls have been going in there and I plan on doing likewise when it's my turn. They make custom sized corsets.

I have a Maggie with the corset back. If we leave the ties loose enough that I can breathe normally the front gaps open. When it tied tight, I can't breathe. The corset is as tight as it can go but no big help. I guess I'll just have to starve for the next month!

I agree with the other ladies. Make sure you have supportive undergarments. A proper fitting bra or corset can shave off a few inches. Your chest is a difficult place to lose. Try a corset

if all else fails you may want to try a minimizer type bra - it can easily shave off 2' another thing you can do which would not be as comfortable is a bit of tape - i know i know but that is what they do in the pagents and it really does work

I'm sure that nerves will make you loose it especially within the next month. Everyones weight fluxuates through this whole ordeal. You'll be fine!

Well, my FH would suggest Duct Tape I'd take some of your top from you, I could use some in my dress. I'm sure everything will work out.

One of my BMs lost a ton of weight on the Atkins so she is going to help me try that diet. Her sister lost 9 lbs in the first week and 1/2 so hopefully I can last on this diet for the next month. Thanks for all the words of encouragement!

it is absolutely possible to lose weight...and moreso, to lose some bloat. if you normally eat a lot of carbs...when you cut them out smartly, you will be very surprised how much better your clothes will all fit right away. good luck!
