I went to the DR. yesterday

It was my first appointment, I am 8 weeks and 2 days today... and had my first sonogram done. It was amazing...I guess I lived a very shetlered life...cuz I thought a sonogram was just rubbing a little jelly on your belly and whatever...When I saw that huge stick I was very confused lol

I am 8weeks tomorrow (Saturday). In the beginning the ultrasounds are internal.

CONGRATS!!! Its only the first one or two that are internal, then you get the belly ones!

Congrats!! I had the same reaction at my first sono! She said it looks like a tampon... ummm, tampon is not quite the first thing that came to mind when I saw that instrument But, I just had my second sono, at 12.5 weeks, and they were able to do the belly one, so depending on when your next sono is, you can probably discard with the 'instrument'

Well the funniest thing is, before she did the sono, she told me to go and take off my pants and underwear. Once I got in the bathroom, I realized.. 'hey why am I taking off my pants??? Did I mishear her?' and i went back and asked what she had said again..she probably that I was so stupid!!!

Meanwhile Fh watched as she got this bad boy ready and thought 'Oh boy Marissa has no idea what shes getting herself into.'

It wasnt so bad though... Thank God

What due date did they give you?

I never got an internal sono done. I'm actually kind of glad. It probably would've freaked me out.

Congratulations! I remember the first time I had a internal sonogram (I wasn't pg), the tech said to me 'I hope your not a virgin' It was so funny!
