They've been doing that since they opened the streets back up down there.

But in the mean time, these disrespectful, sub humans can profit off of this, it really sickens me!!!!

it is actually now way 'better' than it was before. i work downtown, and there used to be many more vendors right after the attacks when the streets reopened. it has calmed down a bit... 'USA - anything to make a buck', sad but true...

One person is too many IMO. This was the first time I was done there.
Re: I went to the WTC yesterday, and was so annoyed...
the tourists buy them they want to feel like there walking away with a memory of the trade center. i wish i could give them some of my memories if they want some so badly!!
Re: I went to the WTC yesterday, and was so annoyed...
what is worse than the vendors IMO is the tourists who treat the site like it was an amusement park. the lack of respect that people show has always baffled me.
Re: I went to the WTC yesterday, and was so annoyed...
It is pretty disguisting. My husband works downtown and was in the middle of all of it on 9/11. Once, he saw a teenage girl posing like a model (laying on her side, hand on hip, etc.) by Ground Zero. I can't even find words to describe how angry that made me, such total lack of respect for a horrific event.
Re: I went to the WTC yesterday, and was so annoyed...
I went down there only 11 days after it happened and there were people (not near the site, but on the way down there) selling keychains with a drawn pic of the towers in flames with a plane flying into the other one. Very distasteful.
