I went to two photographers today and.....

They were so expensive!!!! So far I have looked at seven photographers and all I now is its going to be in the $5000 range, with photo and video. (oh well)...
It doesn't help that I fell in love with the coffee book table book..

did you check out Duet? I met with them and loved them (booked with them also) they have combo packages and depending on what you wan't you could defintely get it below $5000

we are using de ja vu studios and our package is under $4500, its best to shop around. but don't go to speak to too many, then you get confused all you start to look at is price. good luck

for all girls that fall in love with the coffee table book and are a bit crafty and computer literate, check out my publisher.com It is an awesome website where you can create your own wedding album at a great price!! a lot of girls on here have used it!

(wow, this sounds like an advertisement)

anyway, the photo search is one of the hardest... good lucky Alli... once you find the right person, you'll just know...(hopefully)

Have you looked at Artisan? They do the 'coffe table book' style for the same price as the traditional

I didn't really want to check out Duet only because too many people are using them. I would rather a smaller business. I was also concerned about not being able to understand them. I heard they have a very deep accent.
I have never heard of Artisan, I will check them out on-line.
I think I am done with visiting photographers, I am down to two that I really like. I am just going to have to fork up the money.
I just think of this as my one splurge on my wedding.

I am spending about the same for my photography and video also. We are also getting the new 'digital style' coffee table book as well. I have always thought that 'you get what you pay for.' I too like to use smaller companies that deal with less weddings on the same day. I am using Park Ave Studio in Sayville. I have bboked everything for my wedding already- which is 3/4/06 and the same place as you. If you have any questions just FM me.

I am sorry they were so expensive! FI and I have already agreed that we are going to have to spend a lot of money on this. However, the other day I found a really good photographer who is not expensive at all! He owns his own business and seems good. FI and I are going to meet with him at the end of the month. If you want I can FM you the info. I definitely think he is worth checking out. All of my communications with him have been great.
