i went today!! to CBC and WCC

i went to the crescent beach club, and the woodbury country club....

The CBC was ok, not for me.. i guess it remembered it differently. Fh and I loveddd the view.... but i think i want something more... dunno what it is.. but it wasn't a 'this is my hall' moment... but i think we're still going to make reservations to have dinner there one night...

the WCC was sooo pretty... granted there wasn't so many flowers, and she's like we're shifting over to our fall and winter flowers, so dont mind the diying flowers .... but we liked it alot... and less expensive then the CBC... we could def see our wedding there, but i think we still need to look more... it had more of that look i was looking for.. but still no 'this is my hall' moment...

so i wonder if i'm going to get the feeling.. and i wonder if i'll get it when i find my dress... ugh!! i'm tired... but gotta go.. back to class...

honestly... that's it... i dunno where else to look.. i thought about CLM, I've been there and I like it. But I've never been there in the day time. and FH said he's gonna look to see what he likes, but i dunno, i'm lost....

You will get a feeling. I walked out of the WCC all in tears I knew I had to have our wedding there. We got to see it decorated for the holidays and loved it. We went for a tasting and that was it we booked it.

aww. fh and i fell in love with the view at crescent also, but the inside we did not..... i was still debating about them and my friend looked at the pics I took there and agreed also that the inside is not nice enough for the prices they are charging. Im not sure if I can look past that and still book there just because of how beautiful the grounds are

omg meeee tooo!!!! i didnt want to be mean if anyone was going there or has been there... but inside it's a little run down... for the prices they charge, they could atleast make it look better... but then again the view is just breath taking... i wish i could over look the inside.. but if i can't i know my family or guest will def not...

I know exactly how you feel. My FH and I didn't get that feeling until much later in our journey. It wasn't until we found our ceremony spot (Jersey Shore) that everything clicked for us. We knew our hall had to be the Watermill because I got teary eyed two different times I saw it. I took that as my sign to book it. Good Luck!! I can't wait to find out what happens.

Not that I am offended at all (I am a CBC bride) I just think the inside of the crescent isn't for everyone. I don't necessarily think it's rundown (I think they just redid it a few years ago), it's just like the inside of a typical RH. For me the beach and view did it, and I didn't care about the fact that it wasn't all that fancy inside because that wasn't what I was looking for. I guess I just don't see how you think it was 'rundown'.

I never had a 'this is the hall moment'. I guess because our budget was so tight and we were only having a 50 guest...I was too stressed. That's why I looked at about 30 places....I kept thinking if I stopped looking now I may miss out on the hall of my dreams. Finally, FH and I just sat down and talked about which halls we liked, picked out our top 3 and revisited them. We went with the hall that was best for us overall based on price, location, onsite ceremony area, handicap accessible, and what we were being offered extra. I also chose the hall that made my wedding feel just as important as anyone elses. A lot of halls made me feel like they were doing me a favor having my wedding because of the small guestlist. One hall even said this 'We are doing you a favor by having your party with a 50 person minimum....We could have a bigger party and get a much bigger profit. We're not making any money off your party.' Needless to say, I didn't book with them

I remember when you were going through that Maureen. Im so happy you found the place of your dreams!

I looked at two places CLM, which I really liked and was beautiful overall, then Larkfield manor, which I loved, and whose price was too good to be true. I chose that one. Like Maureen, I had to listen to my budget.
