I wish money would fall into my lap!!!!! Or atleast all the back childsupport I'm owed!!!!! Sorry I'm bored and thinking too hard!!!! About the what ifs...
If anyone knows a way to find away to hunt down dead-beat dads that would be very helpful!!!

And we all need money girl!! I'm in the process of finding myself a PT job in between interning FT and going to school... I'm gonna wanna rip my hair out

I did the court thing and they are taking it out of his pay check as long as he works!!!! This money just builds up and I never get to see it. He lives in another state, FL. I also put everything into the courts down there but, they never really help out the single mothers like they say they do. I left my ex-fh over 10yrs ago and he has seen MY son maybe 3 times since. He hasn't seen him in 8yrs, spoken to him in 7. He moves all around so it is hard for them to find him. I was recently told he was in jail for not paying child support and they wouldn't let him out til he paid some, . He was let out without giving me a dime!!!! I really hate the system, I get nothing from him and the state won't help me out alittle!!!! Preschool teachers aren't the best paid and they say I make too much to even get health insurance!!!! EEEERRRR, sorry had to go get that out. I think all dead beat dads should get what they deserve!!!

Have you ever thought of being a child care provider? My cousin has a daycare setup in her basement. She has been doing this for 20+ years. She wanted to be home with her children when they were younger. The pay is really good.

It is too much work with the states and regs, that's why I have stayed being a preschool teacher. Plus in same town I live in, so it's easier with my son. I just want to do some babysitting on side for now and change profession with in the year.

Wow sounds a lot like me !!!! My sons father moved to conneticut when i broke up with him 8 years ago & hasent seen him in 7 years and I havent gotten a child support payment in 7 &1/2 years been to court a lot at first but all it does is 'add up'... I think he owes me like $28,000 ... Sometimes I think I would rather not get the money just to keep the 'needy, wako' out of my life ... My son doesnt even care if he sees his father at this point .. So I feel your pain !!! I decided to give up about 3 years ago when I was willling to give him another chance and come back into my sons life but I told him if you come back in you cant be dissapearing ... however the day we had set up he called that morning and cancelled so that was it!! ...I would rather not have the money than for him to be in mine and my sons life and confuse my son even more...

Im so sorry what are you guys are going through. 2 comments;
1st regarding babysitter have you try craiglist (I had found some babysitter PT there) or if you have a local hospital or where they take care of old people you can take flyers of your services to the nurses (they usually work at night and need a babysitter).
2nd regarding child support I know what you girls are going through FH's dad still own FMIL child support fthat he never paid(and FH is 27!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and what he do is that he work off the books so they dont take money out of his check

See that is what I think my son's 'sperm donor' is doing, besides living off of other people but, what I was told since I went to court and it is all in the system......no matter what age my son is he will always owe me that money and I'll get it even if my son is 40. That is til it's all paid back. I'll get support til he's 18 or in school til 21, something like that. So it'll all just keep adding up til then and if he decides to work on the books, i'll get it little by little but, I want it now.
