It drives me crazy! My fiance and I wanted a two year engagement so we could book everything early and not feel rushed.
Can anyone else relate?

I second that....everytime a vendor said that I would get up and say thank you since according to you I have enough time I will come back and I never returned!

Oh man I have a major gripe about this too. People are even telling me I have time and I'm now under the 9 month mark.
Uh...time? What time do you speak of? The time that I have to not save enough money? The time that I have to not be able to book vendors because they're already booked a year or more in advance? This isn't 1960, you can't plan a nice wedding in a month anymore. Shut up!!

I agree!
Even a few vendors have told me that I'm a little too early!
And yet, some vendors that I looked into were already booked on my date and some even had inquiries about my date after I booked them! So, in all actuality, I wasn't 'too early' at all! I think we are all smart for being so early!

OMGGGGGG if I hear one more person saying this to me I might just explode.
My mom tells me to stop talking about the wedding bc i have so much time to do things.....No I don't!!! Everyone thinks it's all going to get done 6 months before, but I refuse to go insane 6 months before my wedding.
UGHHHHH it drives me up the wall!!

I completely agree with everything you all said!! I really hate when people say, why are you waiting so long?? (especially FH's parents who are not contributing one dime to the wedding) It is so annoying!!

I agree.. I can't stand when people say that. Nobody realizes how FAST the 'time we have' goes. It's gone in a blink of the eye. These past two months flew right by me and I feel like I got nothing done.

You're right...my fiance and I have been engaged for about 10 months now...we finally just finished booking our main vendors....I never dreamed it would take us this long...but it did. We did everything in steps so we won't become overwhelmed (lol...didn't work...but at least we tried)
I agree with the other pet peeves....stop talking about the wedding...it's far away and why are you waiting so long (luckily that stopped though)

I agree! I get it all the time especially since Im not till July of 2010 but I feel that if I wait too long to book things Im not gonna get what I want. I hate explaining that to people
