I wish we lived together...

I am getting very frustrated. The closer the wedding gets the more I want to live with my FH. We only see each other once or twice during the week, and on the weekends. It sounds like a lot but it isnt. I hate the fact that he has to leave every night. (I have my own apartment, but it is in my poppa's house) so my FH really cant stay. I am almost 26, and we have been together since we are 17! I just feel like I need to see him more. I am counting every day until our wedding. I wish we could get an apartment now, but because the wedding is so much money we really cant do it. Is anyone else feeling this way? I am so sad. I feel terrible each time he drives home. I hate most on Sunday night, because now it could be days until I see him again.

Dont feel bad. DH had a house before we got married, and he wanted me to move in so bad before thewedding. I saw him 3 times during the week, and stayed there on weekends. I liked not living with him before the wedding, because it gave us something to look forward to after we came back together from the honeymoon.It was like a new life together. Treasure these moments.

I could completely relate! I have the same situation and it is so frustrating! We have been dating for 6 1/2 years now, but keep thinking how great it will be when you are married and starting a new life together!!! It will be new and exciting:) Its the only thing keeping me going!

i know what you mean. Although i see my FI every day he has to go home at night. IT SUCKS!!! And my sister is always bugging us, theres no privacy!!!!. i have 412 days left..

I know the feeling! We should have regular Sunday night chats. I am sure there is a bunch of us on this board in the same or similiar situation. My FH just left and will be back tommrrow night to take an exercise class with me and then will not be here until Friday night! . Exercise class is to get us in shape for the wedding. I am so down in the dumps. I sometimes feel so lonely when he is not here. I also remember the days before we were engaged and we had no privacy at all, those times were rough also! You are not alone.

Well, I would think if you haven't disrected you father's wishes yet, you shouldn't now and that your fiance should understand that. That is great you are able to do an apartment in your father's home but if it was that much of an issue couldn't you have found another place.

Sorry for being blunt. My fiance lives in Philly while he is on leave and we make trips for the day back and forth. Also, he is in the military so the amount of time you even get to spend with your fiance is alot more then I can.

All of this is part of the reason I love him so much and we have delt with it so I am not making any complaints and this is part of the reason for planning the wedding as soon as we could so we could live together. Best of luck and I hope your date is real soon! Mine is friday

I know how you feel. FH and I have been together over 8 years and we hate the fact that we have to go home to separate houses...but we know in the long run it's worth it. By living at home, we are saving a ton of money.

I have lived my my Fi for 3 years now and I wish we had lived apart longer that way when we did move in together as husband and wife it would be special. So either side there are pros and cons. but I know what you ladies are in for when you live together, HA HA

i'm in the same boat, christy ... sunday nights are just **** depressing. but i guess it just makes the anticipation of getting married that much more exciting! 314 days to go ....

I know exactly what you are going through. We got married in June and we didn't live together beforehand.
I was thinking earlier this evening around 9pm (which is when I would used to leave) how amazing it is that I don't have leave since this is now my home. It was hard no living together, but it was really worth it.
No matter when you move in together, be it before or after the wedding, it will be exciting. I think that if you wait till after it's something to look forward to once all the wedding stuff is over.

Hang in there and just remember you will have the rest of your lives with your FI but only a short time left as a single gal. Enjoy sleeping diagonally in your bed!!

Before my FH and I found an apartment together, I used to have the Sunday night blues, too

One night, before he left after the weekend, he brought me down to his car and popped in a Beach Boys CD and played 'Wouldn't it be nice':

Just keep thinking of how special it will be once you do move in together. Use this alone time wisely, enjoy having this time to yourself, have fun dreaming of the happily ever after that the two of you will start on soon!
