Just got a call from ************** saying they got my name from bridal showcases and supposedly FH and I won a 3 day 2 night free hotel stay at an all-inclusive four star resort in Bahamas, Mexico or DR, air fare not included. Is this for real??? I asked her where she got my name but she said she couldnt tell me since names from several showcases where brides sign up for. Then she gave me a website to check out and assured me several times it was for real. FH and I would have to go to Crown Plaza Hotel in Astoria tomorrow night and attend a cooking/bridal showcase, give opinions then give our prize number and we would receive our free vacation that supposedly never expires. Also assured me it was no timeshare. FH says it ********. But I got a little intrigued since I never 'won' anything. FIgured you girls would know more.

Ive gotten those phone calls and suprisingly they were from showcases I've never been too! I think it's a scam so just be careful!

Don't do it! It's a big wast of time...my friend got scammed by these people a few years ago I can't believe they are still in business! They make you sit there for over 2 hours listening to demonstrations of cookware and other things too (I think time shares) they offer you a few small prizes and you have to enter another contest to win the big stuff. Not worth it if you ask me!

I got that same call 2x. There is a catch to it but they won't tell you that over the phone. They talk you into making an appt to come claim your prize and you MUST BRING FH( that is so weird to me) While you are there they make you sit and talk to their people regarding photography/ video and all the other wedding service they offer.
Its totally up to you if you want to claim it.

I dont know about the vacation because we didnt get to use it. But their pans are super pricey - however, despite bad reviews I read [prob from people who regretted spending the money] - I bought a pot off of ebay - and let me tell you - it is my favorite pot - it does everything they said it does - cooks faster, etc. - and its stainless which is key for me because I will not use a non-stick pan - but I have had the pot for about 3 years now and I love it. I intend to buy more when I have the money -
As for the vacations though, they're like locked into certain dates and whatever...
Just my two cents...everyone has different opinions on these things....

I got that call too. They want you to go to some showcase. i made an appt to go then never went bc i was just too skeptical.
if you go to google and type in the phone number all these things come up about it being a scam and blah blah blah.
they want you to buy some things. i forget what... china or something??

You probably did but you probably have to sit through a 2 hour presentation where they seriously seriously pressure you to try and buy a timeshare.

I got the same phone call and then researched it on the net and read so many horror stories about how people were scammed and even wound up paying THOUSANDS of dollars in merchandise without knowing or something like that.

The fact that they wouldnt tell you where they got your name from wouldnt sit right with me. And you dont get something for nothing..lol
