Flip-flops Staten Island: I want to thank the lady on the Williamsburg Bridge who gave me her flip-flops. I was walking from 51st St. and Fifth Ave. in heels, and my feet and legs were killing me. This sweet woman came up to me and offered her slippers. When I looked up after putting them on, I lost her in a crowd. I wanted to compensate her. All I can offer you now is my heartfelt thanks. you know this is unbelieveable but i saw this happen to someone else on the 59th street bridge! this little old lady walked up to another woman in a suit and heels and just gave her a pair of flip flops. just gave me chills bc people will really surprise u when u least expect it!!!

Meanwhile, some nasty nail salon on 3rd avenue was pushing off their $2 slippers for $10 a pair! It was so disgusting! Totally taking advantage of the situation! Just looking to make an extra buck, that is some people's first priority!
Nice to know that there are some decent peoples out there!

thats really disgusting! uughh! makes me sick. having been one of the thousands that walked over the bridge that day in very uncomfy sandals, i think i would've just stole them from the woman just out of anger and disappeared into the crowd somewhere! i'm sure people did afterall!
