Idea for reply card wording for girls DIYing invites
Ok so I know invites are a pain and there's etiquette and all that BUT....for ladies who are DIYing it and having less traditional affairs like moi....
This is what I did and so far we are getting great feedback because folks like 'the personalization' of the invites...
When we printed out or RSVP cards, instead of putting M__________________ for the guests to write in Mr./Mrs. So-and-so, we put their names. i.e.
Denise & Jim
We look forward to celebrating with you.

LOL the real reason we did it is because LOTS of old folk at our wedding and we were afraid having to look for a pencil to fill in their names would cause them to forget and poof, there goes the invite. For the response cards, we put a return address label with their info (again to help su remember who RSVPed), our address label on the front, and of course the postage. All they have to do is check yes or no and put it RIGHt back into the mailbox. So far, so good, so wanted to share. Peopel really liked having their names on it even though it wasn't traditional and its saving us hassle of deciphering handwriting.

I think the personalize idea is nice, but you have to do a lot more work. if you are only worry about people forget to put their name down, why dont you just give each guest a no. and put the no. behind the RSVP card. So in case you get a no name response and you still can match the no. But I like the personalize idea too if you don't mind the work.

Wasnt that much more work to be honest. Just took overall maybe ten more minutes to write the names. You have to copy and paste anyway so just run through and check the names. Writing the numbers on the back and correspondign guest list took MUCH longer but we did both to be one the safe side..
